Hot Starting issue

Hi all, my '59 plate mk4 petrol Mondeo has been having hot starting issues, not all the the but now and again. Has anyone had the same problem and is there a fix for it.

I don't have a hot starting issue but i do seem to have a starting issue where it doesn't want to start every few months.  After the start it will be fine again for a few weeks or months then the issue happens again.

 

Had it again this morning and can't work out the issue but the only problem was i couldn't get it started at all
