My Travel Pilot FX no longer switches on.

I have removed this head unit and replaced fuse in back of unit (old one seemed to be fine anyway).

Applied switch cleaner to the large block connector and replaced the head unit in the dash.

Still not working.

Any ideas woulld be welcome, together with a pin out description for the block connector to allow me to check if power is arriving at the connector.

Replacement units are commonly available on eBay for around £60

 

Update:

Having left the car on my drive for a couple of days, I was not able to open the doors any more. The remote keys did not activate the locks.

The manual key does not turn in the lock. I was handed a couple of replacement manual keys when I purchased the car which do turn in the lock barrel but do not open the door!

The diagnosis is that i have met the known chip fault with the travel pilot fx which puts a parasitic drain on the battery and flattens it.

The previous owner seems to have changed the key barrel but not actually connected it up.

After a couple of hours with the AA we managed to "break in" opening the bonnet and giving 12v to the flat battery.

I have swapped the travelpilot fx with a 6000cd which i got for £20 on ebay (it seems to work apart from refusing to pair with my mobile)

I decided not to risk a replacement tavelpilot fx until I can get around to stripping the door and hopefully getting manual key entry working.
