Hi there, new member Keve here, I've owned a 2012 for 2 years now, love it but starting to have a few issues so hope I can find answers in here.

Hi Kevin,

New member too, welcome to the forum. there's loads of info to get lost in here. (I'm Renfrewshire, originally from Carluke)

Just downloaded FORScan (free download) and purchased the ODB to USB lead from amazon (£31) to monitor faults (if any), worth looking into.

Plenty of info and guides here to help.

Cheers,

David.

Cheers David, I'll need to get one, Cumbernauld for me. Can you work FORScan with you're phone?

Unfortunately not, you'll need a laptop and the free download software.

I think the "Carly" unit is Bluetooth enabled, however you'll not be able to do as much on Carly than with FORScan.

There is both an Android and an iPhone version of FORScan available, although there is a small charge of about £7 for each. You will need to also buy the correct OBD adapter.

The phone versions of FORScan allows the full diagnostics as the laptop version, and will allow DTC errors to be cleared. However, you can not carry out programming with the phone version for safety reasons. If communication was lost at a critical moment it could cause a total failure of a module.
