martynk
Hi The front ns electric window has ceased to function since the big freeze a couple of weeks ago. I suspect a blown fuse. The car handbook tells me which fuse to check and which fuse box but no indication where the damned thing is located. RHD car, please can someone enlighten me, answers on google suggests behind the light switch but that is for a lhd car. Thanks

iantt
Mk5 Mondeo fuse box is the bcm. Bcm is located in the passenger footwell. There's a piece of plastic trim cover you need to pull away to reveal the fuses. Check there. There are other fuse boxes under the bonnet. unofix
The BCM is Body Control Module. It is like the brain of the car that controls other modules and looks after functions that are not directly looked after by the ECM - Engine Control Module. The BCM is part of the passenger compartment fuesbox, kind of the back half of it. Many functions on the car no longer have a fuse as they are controlled by the BCM, which electronically protects equipment.
martynk
Many thanks for the explanation. Tomorrow's task will be to try and find the fuse panel
