Ford Ka 2011 Engine Cut Out

Featured Replies

My OHs Ford Ka cuts out once engine is warm.

it’s a 1.2 Petrol Ka.

Recently had a new belt fitted, though timing has been programmed properly and checked twice since. Have had coil changed, then showed a neutral position switch fault, since been replaced. Yet still, once the engine is warm, it cuts out.

Any ideas?
Thanks

Hi, my Daughters car (same car) has exactly the same fault, once warm it cuts out of when idling. Perfect okay when it moving but when your in traffic or at a standstill it cuts out. I have been advised that it may be the throttle body as they are flyby wire/electronic. I haven't had the opportunity to have a look yet. Have you managed to fix yours?

Its a common fault on a lot of Ford Ka.

Problem seems to be caused by the " Idle Air Control valve."
