Hi.

Got stolen one of 2 keys. Ordered spare from ali. Got, visually exactly same as original. 

Got Forscan with extended licence(2months). In service procuderes there are pcm,bcm and other proceduresIMG_20230112_164534.thumb.jpg.6c415ebf3e15bbe345254433d645fec9.jpg, but no PATS key programming. 



You will be able to programme in the locking/unlocking function, but the PATS immobiliser function can only be programmed in using FORScan for Ford vehicles before 2013.

For a 2021 Car the key can only be added in by a Ford dealer, who can also delete the stolen key from the car.

If i cant programm PATS, engine start will not function?

If i get another Service tool could i do PATS with it or only way is Ford dealer?

As far as I know only a Ford dealer (or perhaps a professional automotive locksmith?) can programme in the PATS key to the ignition for vehicles after 2013 

Does your new key from Ali even come with the PATS chip installed, and if it does is it the correct type for your car?

Battery is inside, PCB also in place. 

433Mhz printer on plastic bag, where key was shipped. 

Hope it will work. 

By the way, those tricks with ignition on/off,then beep and any key press on new key will not work if car is made after 2013?

And near 433Mhz there is printed 15digit nr row. Maybe it is usefull when pairing key to PATS?

I don't think you understand how the key works.

There are two separate and totally independent functions of the key. Part one is the 'Active' function which controls the locking and unlocking of the doors. It transmits a coded signal on the 433MHz frequency to a receiver inside the car which then controls the locks. This requires a battery which in most keys is a CR2032.

The second part of the key is the PATS 'Passive' chip. It does not need the battery in the key and it does not transmit a signal. When the key is inside the car the system searches for the PATS chip which is a Transponder. The car will then interrogate the transponder and read it's code number. If this matches a code number already stored in the car then it will allow the car to start.

Lastly, no amount of key on, key off or any other kind of 'hocus pocus' will allow the key to be programmed in to the car if it is a model built after 2013. See the photo below as an example of a typical transponder chip. They are about 7mm long and 4mm wide.

If car is with keyless. When i am coming close to car, car receiver receives signal from key. Key is active transmitter all time? Or when it is in motion it transmits rf signal?

Battery is CR2450 in both keys.

Thinking maybe another sw could do the trick?

Maybe one of thoose? Looked fast through but didnt saw anything about key pairing. 

 

FORScan turned the feature off because they didn't want their tool being used to steal cars.

You can program the remote function, but the PATS function has to be programmed by a dealer

Carry on, buy what ever gizmo you want to try it's your money. I've said all I can say on the subject of programming PATS. 😧

Remote programmed at Ford dealer succesfully.
