2010 Mondeo hatch back keeps blowing interior fuse

Featured Replies

Hi,

Driving home last night in wet wet conditions, I lowered the drivers window a crack, when I got home tried to wind it up but it wouldn't go, also noticed that the drivers side window switches and mirror switch doesn't work also my interior lights don't work, had a look in the fuse box and found the interior light fuse had blown, tried to change it but it keeps blowing, I'm lost any ideas

Thanks in advance

I wonder if the window was frozen, and the electrics popped due to the extra pressure required to open it maybe?

The other possible is water, and\or bared wires (not as likely though in this case), if it warms up and dry's up, and then it works, that would support this possibility, but behind the door card is where the logical area that causing this to happen, but it's a hell of a job with access so tight to get in where you may need, but have you actually managed to close the window yet?

Just wondering if that may have burnt out and causing things to trip maybe?

One last thought, are the switches in a position that water could drip on them say when the door is open(?), so if it's raining or snow, it could drop on them opening the door maybe?

Hope you get it sorted.
