New owner issues

Featured Replies

Good Afternoon

I am a new owner of a MK5 Mondeo  Ecoboost 240 automatic (65 plate). I have had two issues, one of which is condensation inside the front headlight units (both of them), I have attached two images to show, the condensation isn't large in amount however in my mind, water and electrics don't go well, especially since the headlight units cost a fair amount.

I also had an issue today with the infotainment system that occured three times before it worked as it should. I saw an error message mentioning something along the lines of a serious/fatal error and the word shut down before the infotainment system shut down. Then I pressed the power button, the infotainment system did not turn on, then I held it for a few seconds and it seemed to perform a "scheduled maintenance", I got the error again three times before it started on and stayed on as it should.

I had sent these two issues in emails to Evans Halshaw in Wolverhampton, not sure what is going to be done regarding these issues. I just wanted to ask anyone if anyone here had these issues occur and how it got sorted? Also, are there any other niggles with this car that I am unaware of?

Kind regards

Nas

That level of condensation is totally normal, especially with the present very cold weather.

Thank you for your response. One less thing for me to worry about.

Make sure the battery condition is good, poor battery performance can cause all sorts of issues

Okay, thank you for that! I shall try to keep this in mind.
