2011 Ford Kuga fitting a rear view camera with a split tailgate

Featured Replies

Hi is there anyone out there that has the Kuga with the split tailgate absolute nightmare fitting a camera to it, i have have not attempted it yet as it looks a bit of a mare to do, just wondered if anyone has attemted this or would you advise someone proper to fit it. Many thanks

Yes I've fitted a rear dashcam to a 2010 Kuga with split tailgate.

It's not too difficult just think of it as having to do the job twice. Pass the new cable through the first tailgate flexible rubber conduit and pull all the cable through. leave it a little slack as you don't what it damaged when opening and closing.

Then it's simply a matter of passing the cable through the next tailgate rubber conduit and pulling all the cable through from the first. As I say it's not had to do, just takes time.

Happy to fit it for you if you're passing Durham anytime soon 😉
