2019 Model Rear Screen Wash Filter

Hi,

Just some info really, fore those who have a 2019 model, there is a small filter in the tubing going to the rear

screen wash. Access by removing the top trim on the hatch, it's on the right hand side as you look at the car from the back.

Its covered in a felt like material, again Ford only sell these as a complete item, took mine apart and cut the filter out.

Only found this out when mine started leaking and dripping into the boot.

    That is probably the non-return valve that you have removed. They can fail and there is no harm in removing them but there may be a small delay when you operate the rear screen wash.

    No, I don't think it is, it's green in colour with a mesh in it, think now i should have taken a pic of it lol

    The non-return valve will have a mesh filter on the supply side to catch particles that could cause the NRV to pass back
