I have recently purchased this vehicle and as it has done 75000 miles I thought I should have the automatic gearbox serviced.

Can anyone advise me as to the cost of having this done by a reputable garage/ service centre.

Many Thanks

That will be the Getrag Powershift 6DCT450, trans oil and filter every 3 years or 37,500 miles whichever occurs first.

Main dealer price around £300 - its the cost of the oil that makes it expensive. Probably around an hours labour.

An half decent independent specialist should be cheaper and, although I wouldn't, you can use non ford dealer supplied fluid.

There are lots of vodeo's available but here is just one. Alan does know what he is on about most of the time but he can also be irritating!

Add/Edit - a Volvo dealer may help as some Volvo models use the same transmission
