Ford ‘woody’ project

Featured Replies

Hi , my brother has been restoring a treasured woody which has been in our family for most of its life. I am advised it is very rare, 1937 British.  He has spent many hours working on the car and a large sum of money. Sadly, my brother has recently died and we are looking for advice as to how to proceed with the car. The welding is completed and the woodwork half restored,   We would appreciate any advice anyone has to offer. We would love to see it completed in my brother’s memory.

Hi, very sorry to hear that.

Whilst this forum does have a 'classic' sub-forum for older vehicles, not much discussion seems to take place there so this may not be the best place to get the help you need. You probably want to be reaching out to a motor club that specialises in vintage / historic vehicles, or perhaps an automobile focussed museum.

Doing a little digging on google I'm struggling to find good suggestions of specific groups to point you at. The following two may be of interest though:

Perhaps someone else here will know a good group?

Hello,

Sorry to hear of your sad loss. My advice would be to join the UK branch of the Early Ford V8 Club.

Details on the club can be found on the internet.

Regards

Colin.
