2009 mondeo 2.0 titanium slow acceleration and black smoke

Featured Replies

Afternoon everyone

looking to pick your brains on an issue I have with a mondeo

basically it’s got no power, slow acceleration and chucking out black smoke by the boat load

I assumed it was a blocked dpf after having similar issues with a Passat in the past had it off today and turns out it’s been gutted, took the cat off while I was at it and fired her up while nothing on the exhaust and still struggling to accelerate so I’m kind of at a blank right now, I’ve checked all the boost pipes they are good, egr is blanked off, not sure where to go next seems like it’s seriously over fueling and bogging it down or a possible turbo issue, before I start pulling it to bits more was wondering if any of you fine people have dealt with similar issues and got a solution

cheers

Tom
