Ford Edge2013 "Rear camera not available" warning

I removed the broken rear camera of my 2013 Ford edge and replaced it with a separate license plate camera system and a separate dashboard monitor, which function very well, better than the original built-in Ford camera ever did. Each time I start the engine now, I get a warning message telling me that the (presumably original Ford) camera is disconnected. I already know that, but how can I either permanently eliminate these annoying messages from showing up or permanently disable the original Ford camera in the Ford system? I seem to be able to disable it on the screen, using the Ford vehicle settings, but each time I turn on the car, it comes back.
