I have a 2005 Mondeo Ghia x 2.5l.  Could someone tell me please if the small box on the left hand side of the dash that says P  Temp etc  is illuminated by dash lights or is this lit up inside the box?  It's not lit up atm and would like to fix it if possible.

    It looks like you have a Mk3 Mondeo dash there. Having done a little research it looks like a bulb is used for the LCD backlights in this model, so given your description of the display not being "lit up", I presume that the bulb behind it has simply failed and needs replacing.
