Hello Everyone, I am new here. I have just got this Fiesta back. My Dad bought it brand new in 2004. I know it is probably on here somewhere but when I try and find out what mark it is, some say 5 and others 6. If anyone can help it will be appreciated.

I am looking forward to bringing this Fiesta back to original. Who knows I may explore some performance upgrades.

I am well chuffed to get my Dad’s Fiesta back.

Thank you for looking.

Mikey

Top man

Thank you for confirming. I want to order some bits but don’t want the wrong stuff turning up.

Do they name them different in other countries then?

Welcome, and good luck with your project.

Many parts suppliers ask for your reg no. when ordering, so that should help you too.

Can I suggest that you add to your profile the engine size and which fuel and which gearbox and which trim level. It will save you (and us!) time when you ask for advice in future.

Hello Alan, thank you for coming back. I am going to take a screenshot of the vin no as well so should be belt and braces for right bits. I was just a little worried about eBay.

Hopefully there will be some good stalls at Ford shows.

Yes.

In the UK we are now on the with the Fiesta Mk8 but Europe are on Mk7 (Its the same car)

Here's the European (Not including the UK) story of the Ford Fiesta.
  • Mk1 (1976 to 1983)
  • Mk2 (1983 to 1989)
  • Mk3 (1989 to 1997)
  • Mk4 (1995 to 2002)
  • Mk5 (2002 to 2008)
  • Mk6 (2008 to 2016)
  • Mk7 (2016 to 2023)

Yes, we were all in step until the Mk 4. The 1999 facelift was so extensive  it became known as the Mk 5 in some quarters, particularly the UK, which has caused confusion ever since.

That explains why sometimes I get 5 and others 6.

Nice one, thank you for clearing that up.

Mikey.
