SMR1980
My Ford cmax has recently had a replacement abs pump. This was 2nd hand and since being placed in my car the traction control light has come on. This has failed my MOT and the garage I use has been unable to diagnose, calibrate or fix the problem. Ford themselves want £120 up front for a health check any ideas on how I can fix this? My tax is due end of the month and I can’t do it with a failed MOT
unofix
ABS modules are coded/programmed to the specific car. If you use a second had unit it will need to be programmed to your vehicle. The ABS programming can only be done by a Ford main dealer or as far as I'm aware there are only two independent authorised ABS repairers in the UK with the means to programme the units.
