Powershift issue

Featured Replies

I have a Ford kuga 2019 model. 2.0l diesel power shift. 18000 miles on it and gearbox was serviced last November 2022.

when starting from cold don’t get no issues once the car reaches its engine temperature I start to get just revs and no drive normally after about driving for 20 mins

I take my foot off the power and back on and seems to go ok again for a little bit then same problem.

never happens when it’s cold.

any ideas anyone. ?

Is it the current Kuga or the last of the old?

Are you sure the correct fluid was used when changed????

It’s the older shape one mate.

and I should hope so it was peoples fords who done the work mate.

If it's AWD check it's not an issue with the transfer box first, that can make you loose drive.

Make sure your battery is in good condition

It’s not awd mate.

and only had the new battery placed on it in January.

its a strange one because only happens when it’s are normal temperature.

Normal temperature for the engine, but the transmission could be overheating.

I would check the receipt for the transmission fluid change and check if it was the right fluid, also check the fluid level is correct

I have the exact same problem, transmission issue it says. Feels like gears are not changing properly and losing power.

Yes it goes dark every-time your automatic headlights switch on, which at this time of year and poor weather, will be quite frequently.
