DLR

Can my Mondeo Mk5 diesel estate have its rear lights turned on when the front DLR lights are on? Too many cars (even mine) can be seen being driven in murky conditions, clearly visible from the front owing to the mandatory DLRs and almost invisible from behind.

I fully understand the problem and so eventually did the motor industry which is why today cars have automatic headlights (and of course rear lights).

I assume that your model does not have automatic headlights and hence your question.

It maybe possible that the option to enable DLR rear lights can be configured using FORScan. The options regarding the lights varies from model to model and depends on the year of manufacture. One option that is probably easy to do is to upgrade to fully automatic headlights which by default also operates the rear lights. On many models this simply involves replacing the light switch, and enabling 'auto' lights using FORScan.
