Rough/friction clutch pedal

Featured Replies

I have just had a new clutch, dual mass flywheel, slave cylinder etc replaced on my mk4 2.0tdci mondeo. since having it back the clutch pedal itself when pressing down and also releasing feels rough, like there is friction or something rubbing. Doesn’t happen in neutral, only when changing up or down gears. Happens either pressing in or releasing both just as bad. It’s hard to explain but it’s like there is grit stuck in the pedal. I have just changed clutch fluid, transmission fluid and bled the clutch again, felt okay for a few hours and then straight back to what it was. Any ideas? Could it be the master cylinder or something else? Also lubed the actual pedal itself just incase but like I say it doesn’t happen in neutral or when the engine is off

It's a pure guess but I'd suspect the master cylinder.
