Mirage
Hi all, Re: Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCI Fault: when accelerating above 3000rpm the engine cuts power however remains running and goes into limp mode. ESP comes on to put the hazard lights on and then goes off. Unfortunately, at least 1 and possibly 2 fuel injectors have leaked causing a mess. Fault codes P1169 P245D There is clearly an issue around the fuel injectors however also the EGR valve and possibly its cooler. The car was starting without hesitation for a few weeks as it sat waiting for an appointment with the garage however now the battery is flat. The car is at a garage now and they can't proceed until the carbon, oil, fuel etc around the injectors is cleaned up and pipework replaced to get the car running again as it is chuffing. Then it could be 1 or 2 fuel injectors need replacing or seals replacing, then it also could be the EGR valve needs replacing and who knows what else. Does anyone have any experience of such faults and how to resolve it or if to walk away from it? Is it possible the EGR valve fault code is linked to issues with the injectors and may disappear once the injectors are sorted? thanks.
