Mondeo 2003 zetec s - aerial woes

Featured Replies

Hi I cannot seem to find an aerial/antenna that will fit my car … the one it came with was severely worn and the screw coming out of the base is super thin (4mm?? I think ) and all aerials I can find come with a 6mm hole and additional screws but I can’t remove the one that’s currently in the base 🥲🥲 does anyone know what I need to buy or any ideas ? Can take pics if needed

YThank you kindly for the replies and links. Was hoping I wouldn’t have to replace the base as I’m not the most handy but hopefully it’s not too difficult. I’m still puzzled as to why I can’t find an aerial with the right thread that will screw on 🤣

Well  years ago in Tesco  in a clearance bin I picked up a short telescopic aerial  that had 2 alternative sized threaded studs with it, perhaps the Mk3 is just too old now for a 3rd party supplier of aerials to be bothered.
