Mk4 DPF issue

Featured Replies

Need some advice re a dpf issue on a 08 2.0 tdci please.
Replaced dpf pressure hoses as they were split but didnt fix the eml issue, so have replaced the pressure sensor itself. It was definitely dead as not getting any readings on Torque app. Started it tonight and got an engine warning light as well as eml fault code P2453, and engine went into limp mode. Dpf pressure reading is 15.3 psi and soot at 171.8
. I'm assuming it needs a good regen to clear it but I'm guessing that won't happen while its showing a fault so I'm a bit stuck. Would it cause this kind of problem if I put the hoses back on the wrong way round?
Any advice gratefully received, thanks

Is it definitely reading 15.3 PSI?  Not kPa?  That's way beyond safe levels for regen.  Even if you clear the code it won't work.

Needs to be removed and physically cleaned out now.  Sounds like it's clogged badly after not regenerating for a while.
