Sync 2 poor call quality

Featured Replies

Hi all

New to the forum and would be very grateful for some advice on my sync 2 in my 2015 Mondeo Zetec.

Fault I am having is when I am making a bluetooth call the sound quality is really bad, there is a lot of interference, cracking etc. Weirdly, it sounds ok for the person I'm calling.

I have checked with the Ford website with my VIN and it seems I'm on the latest software (3.7.11). Also I've done a master reset of the system and phones (I've tried 3 phones, all the same). BTW the phones are iPhone XR, SE and 8.

Would be very grateful for any advice.

Thanks

Have you tried updating the software in the ACM (Head Unit)?

Hi thanks for the reply, I went onto the Ford site to check for updates using my vin number and it said it was up to date on version 3.7.11..

That's the sync 2 system, that's just what you see, ACM is the head unit, that controls what you hear.

A dealer would need to perform an update on ACM or it can be done with FORScan

Ah right that's great info, thanks, I've just got the car recently so will ask them to have a look at it for me
