Ford Kuga Diesel 2018

I purchased a 2018 ford kuga diesel from a ford dealership. I was not given a service history or a user manual. When I queried it I was told these are no longer issued. Is this true as I find it strange? Thanks



Hi, 

It's all online now.  Download the FordPass app, put your VIN number in, and that will show any Ford dealership service history and also link to an online user manual.

Thanks Tons Focus. I've downloaded the app and set up an account. However it's only showing one service after a year. Does that mean that's all the services that have been done?

......and that's the 6 Million Dollar question !!! nobody knows.

Not all Ford dealers are using the online system, I've had my own car serviced twice now by official Ford main dealers and nothing shows on my app.

Also if the car is serviced by a none Ford garage they can't or don't (not sure which) add the service on to the Ford service record. The system has many flaws and is far from perfect. I keep the service invoices as proof of service, but come the day I sell the car to a garage they will be destroyed because of 'data protection'.

It probably means the services were carried out by independent garages, rather than the supplying Ford dealership. 

Unfortunately, there is no way to tell unless you have paperwork to prove it or know exactly which garage did the services.

As you purchased it from a Ford dealership, I would push them to supply you with all the servicing information that they have on your car, from across the Ford network.  They may be able to see more than the FordPass app can.  And if the car was sold as having 'full service history' then it has been mis-sold if they can't provide you with that information.

Thanks everyone for your replies. They all have been very helpful. I now have noticed a further problem so a not amused a d am trying to get everything resolved.
