Streetka 6006 radio/ CD changer

Unsurprisingly, the 6006 cd/changer unit failed a long time ago, and I've used it as radio or a lighter-plug emitter to play micro SD card storage music. But as I want to restore the car generally to its original spec, I have had much difficulty in finding a working (cd side) 6006 unit, especially the LHD model. Solution found and working as it should:

I purchased a 6006 unit in full working order, not Streetka model, and it appeared to be made un 2008 (result!), took off the front panel (2 small torx screws) did the same with old unit, and fitted original panel to replacement unit. All connectors (power, aound and aeriel) all exactly the same, and now have fully working original unit. Worth considering if your 6 cd changer stops working.

    LHD TO RHD STREETKA:

    Fascia panel surround to 6006 has in-built driving-lights switch to the right. LHD has it to the left, so not directly interchangeable.

    Sorry, other way around: LHD has switch to RIGHT, RHD has it to LEFT.
