Managed to drop one of the above into the bodywork removing the light fitting, anybody recommend where to buy a replacement or can suggest an alternative. I am assuming it’s too much bother to try and retrieve it.

I would do my very best on a retrieval exercise! Every time you turn a corner, the noise of it rolling about will do your head in. Have you got one of those magnets on a telescopic pole you can get from discount stores, or very cheap on Ebay?

Might be cheaper at your local Ford dealer.

Stephen, got one of those but wasn’t sure the magnet on it would be strong enough to do the job, will try the local dealer but had an idea whilst walking the dog of using a load of plastic washers and a wing nut, what do you think?

A dog lead might be better 🤔

Use a vacuum cleaner and attach a short length of garden hosepipe to it. The suction will be strong enough to pick it up, and the hose is too small for it to go in to the vacuum.
