2015 Transit Connect 1.6 TDCI injector fault

Featured Replies

Hi all! My Transit Connect 1.6 TCDI 116Ps from 2015 has a 5 week rest on my garage. Until the last meter went everything's good, engine rung fine. Now tried to start, but battery flatted. Charged to full under 1.5 days, tried to start, but engine indling was rough. Tried  to run around  the block, but car hasn't power, get MIL lamp immediately, and it was suffering to drive back 300 meters to garage.

Today read codes with autocom reader, get P1262 code, 2nd injector fault, high to low side short... If i try to clear, comed back immediately.

I am wondering, what happens within last 5 weeks, nobody touch, or start my Transit Connect. Is it possible that the injector was damaged while standing with closed doors? Checked connector, cables, all ok, no dirt around injectors, etc etc.

All wiring okay, checked connector, cleaned, push back. That code means inside injector coil damaged, so it's not visible. If i pull connector, idling will be more roughly, so wiring working. If i buy a nwe injector, can i coding that to ECM?

We would use Forscan in the UK.  One of your tools might have that function as well though.

ELM327 works as long as it covers both HS & MS CAN.  Forscan now recommend the V Linker FD for Android but I do not know if it will allow injector coding wirelessly.  Some functions can only be completed through wired USB connection.

So looks like, it will be a very very strange situation. Replaced all  injectors, to a brand new, sealed box ones, fitted all, put new hold bolts, tight proper torque, and then: nothing. Crank but no start. Read codes with forscan, get P2291 , measure 3 bar of pressure. pull hoses, key turn to ignition, nowhere comes fuel. Tank is nearly full. Replaced fuel filter, tried to priming and  bleeding with a hand  pump, but fuel don't comes up.  Try to search issue, what blockint fuel, and find hp pump valve, maybe it stuck at close. Today pull that valve, chech on a table with cables and battery, it moves and ticking, so it works. Before i push back that valve, try key turn to ingition again, but fuel comes nowhere. So i've run out of ideas!

If the rail pressure sensor is out, regardless of that, fuel should comes through the opened hose. But nothing happens. How can i check in tank pump?

There is no in tank pump on the 1.6tdci. You need to persevere priming the fuel lines, especially as you've replaced the fuel filter too.
