BSolley
Hi, I have recently bought a 2015 Mondeo titanium 2.0 tdci that had starting problems so I thought I’d give it ago and now I’m beyond bewildered!!! it will crank over no problem at a reasonable speed but never seems to fire up! -replaced the fuel filter -I’ve replaced all 4 of the injectors as they all failed leak off but still no start. -check the high pressure pump but it seems fine - is there any reliable ways of checking these? - can hear the low pressure pump kick in on ignition. When I crank the engine with the injectors cracked open fuel dribbles out, is it meant to be gushing out when cranking? thanks
TomsFocus
Do you have any diagnostics that can measure fuel rail pressure while cranking?

Yes, desired pressure was 32000kpa and pressure it achieved was 33000kpa. also run a test on Ford scan which said pressure was achieved and completed successfully. also the scanner says there is no errors codes which confuses me.
TomsFocus
That should rule out the HP pump then. Crank sensor is worth checking. Injectors won't fire until about 300rpm. Has it ever run since you've had it? If not, I'd be tempted to check compression (or try a bit of EasyStart).

It ran the first day come back to it and it sudden stopped working now can’t get it started again. Starting to think I’ve put the firing order for the injectors in wrong but can’t seem to find the correct order

Best place to double check things like that is used parts on eBay.
