Hello everyone.

Standard fault here ofcourse and I’d be thriller to be pointed in the right direction.

 

So, 2010 Mondeo With all the bells n whistles including keyless, 2.0 petrol.

Immobilizer fault is on and nothing happens when startbutton is pressed.

I got myself Forscan and got all the lovely codes as you can see in the photos. I suspect the ABSmodule to be the culprit.

I have ofcourse done the usual stuff, new battery, cleaned all the earthpoints I could find and checked the harness from computer leftfront for any damage but looks fine.

I’m a military mechanic so can’t say that all these new systems and canbus is anything I have any extensive knowledge about.

 

What do you think?

That's one big shopping list of faults.

I would suspect water ingress in to the Body Control Module (BCM).

The car is the right age to suffer with the faulty solder joints in the instrument cluster, but it's not normally a common problem for the Mondeo. You can easy test the IC by giving the top of the dashboard a good thumping just above the clocks and see if anything changes. Otherwise my thoughts are BCM problem.

Trouble is, there's no time stamps on those events, so you dont know how old they are or how relevant they are to the current situation. So, why not  clear the  error codes, then see which ones come back and start from there.

Oh there were way more codes before I cleared it twice. This is what’s current.

BCM, is that the module in left front wheelwell?

Take your driver's seat out, check wiring harnesses around under seat area for broken COMMS wires

This is the 2013 Mondeo Mk4. The Body Control Module (BCM) will be in the same place on your car.

Yep found it, dug it out and it looks brand new. No signs of anything pn it or the connectors. Blew it out With air just in case and popped it back in.

No difference. Checked all fueses as well, all good.

Loved the accent on the guy, hard to understand though 😂

Further to DaveT70's suggestion, I've seen a thread recently where some wires in a loom under the carpet WERE corroded - some blue copper oxide on the surface gave the game away. 

Might just be case of inspection of the wiring as the codes don't make any sense.... tho' that reported voltage 11.8, is surely a bit low.
