Fuel Warning Light?

I have a Ford Ka 52 plate and have never seen the fuel warning light come on even when the gauge is showing near empty...below the fuel gauge is a petrol pump symbol and i and pretty sure that should light up orange when "on the red"........please could anyone advise on this and how also to change the bulb if it does have a light???? many thanks :D

    Yes, yes it does. Mine is an 05 plate MK1 Ka and tonight for the 1st time ever the low fuel light came on. I got to a garage and filled it up and put 33 litres of petrol in.
