how many mpgs

Featured Replies

took my kuga 2017 2.0 tdci 150 to yorkshire and back .did 500 miles. mainly at reaso able speeds and it struggled to reach 50 mpg.  my old focus used to achieve 60 plus on same trip.  could this be a fuel filter issue as i felt that car was a bit hesitant at certain speeds     also sou ds silly but i looked at the instant fuel read out on the dash and it did seem to jump up and down a lot even tho i was on a flat road and keeping accelerator steady.

That's quite good for a Kuga 2.0 TDCi, it's very heavy

Heavy weight and poor aerodynamics.

Have to accept a loss of MPG if you want or need a larger car.

yeh i was thinking that  but the manual says 65.  but i suppose 50 isnt bad  for a heavier car.

Im getting upper 40's, but it does weigh a bit over 2 tonne. My old Mondeo was in the mid 50's. I cant grumble I get most of my mileage back at 45p per mile.

I get about 40mpg in my 2.0 diesel AWD for normal local miles, but around 54mpg on a long run.  Mine is a 2021 MY Kuga 3.
