ESC limp mode

Featured Replies

Hi all. I have a mk5 1.6 diesel Mondeo that the ESC lights come on now and then saying it needs a reset. Also (not at the same time) now and then the car won't rev past 3500rpm and has no power. Anyone know what I should do? And why does it do this? Thanks

Use FORScan and read the DTC's. The car has an issue for it to be turning the ESC light on and will be logging a code for the fault. It may be as simple as a defective wheel sensor but without the DTC it is pure guess work.
