Car trying to move when I rev the engine in Park

Featured Replies

Hi

I looked at this Kuga today

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202308160857948?sort=distance&advertising-location=at_cars&include-delivery-option=on&maximum-mileage=50000&postcode=CM12 9lt&price-from=12000&price-to=22500&radius=1&year-from=2016&fromsra

I don't know if it's a Powershift, so would be grateful if someone could advise me on that.

Secondly, when in Park, I revved the engine a little and the car started to move forwards, maybe an inch or two, no further, but it definitely moved.. I then made sure the electronic handbrake was on (I don't think it was to begin with) and the car didn't move when I revved the engine, but it felt as though it was trying to. I've never experienced this in 35 years of owning/driving autos - is it normal for this model?

Thanks.
