obd port has pushed through its holder .

today i needed to plug in a code reader to my 2017 kuga. i lowered the covering panel and saw that the obd port was not in its holder and had been pushed through so it was behind the panel. there are lugs on the obd port holder which prevent me from being able to pull it back into its position. has anyone any idea how to fix this.im going to attempt to download two photos.  one is of a screenshot of an obd port in its correct position. the other is mine .i have pulled it back into situ but cant retrieve it due to the lugs
