Help needed please

I’m hoping someone can give me a bit of help with a 62 plate Ka 1242cc petrol.

I have some intermittent warning lights as follows:

Start/stop light bright and passengers airbag dim as well as the MIL are sometimes lit. MIL not every time however.  There’s a faint glow from a couple of other lights including the battery light after switching off which you can see when it’s dark. Battery does not go flat and it looks like these very dim ones go off after a while when everything shuts down.  Speedo and other gauges all working, no flashing lights with indicators or anything like that.

Prior to starting the engine all the usual lamps will be illuminated brightly as they go through their checks and if the fault is present it’s only the passengers airbag light that is dim whilst the start/stop one is the usual brightness.

Periodically there will be no throttle response at all which can only be overcome by turning off and restarting. When this happens the revs appear to settle at about 1100 rather than the usual 850/900rpm.  Also the REMOTE central locking sometimes doesn’t work although it always works with the key in the lock.

On occasion all the warning  lamps operate as they should.

Whilst some of this may be cluster related I’m not convinced as I don’t have any flickering lights. The remote and the throttle issue cannot be related to the cluster I don’t think.

Apologies for the long post but I wanted to provide all the facts.  Earth problem??  Some sort of module issue??  Anyone had anything like this??

All ideas welcome please as it’s a nice 46000 mile car otherwise.

Thanks in advance.

This fault with the KA instrument cluster has been mentioned at least twice before. No one has ever come back with an answer as to how or even if, it was fixed.

I bought another KA mk2.

Dashboard lights question...

No fault codes

Lights bright ignition on and go out/dim as usual bar a very dim light for airbag, fuel warning, seat belt and what looks like emissions light.

The last photo shows the dim lights

Am I being paranoid. The other KA is a 13 plate with different dashpod.IMG-20221129-WA0019.thumb.jpg.8c2573c01873970c677f4770fadd219b.jpg

Anyone? Obviously this is not the place for advice and help/ideas!

Unfortunately there's not many fiat ka owners on here, and obviously won't have the response you would like. Have you tried a ford dealer for advise?
