Reverse light bulb (driver side) and parking sensor issues

Featured Replies

Hi, hope someone can help, I’ve seen similar but not the same issues.

Over the last 6 weeks I’ve had a Rear bulb error and a little less an error saying parking sensor error, needs servicing. They’ve very intermittent but now it happens as soon as I put the ignition on and the brake light doesn’t work and nor do the reverse sensors, I’m guessing it’s a cable issue as it was intermittent until now. But I don’t know where to start to look for them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I assume brake light is a typo so just reverse light and parking sensors?

Reverse switch would be the first test.  Followed by lamp holder corrosion check.  Then GEM module.

No, it’s not a typo. The rear brake light doesn’t work and nor do the reverse sensors. The reverse light comes on when I put the car in reverse.

So what you mean is that the heading of this thread "Reverse light bulb (driver side) and parking sensor issues" should actually be 'Brake Light' ?

Is it only one brake light not working ? Have you tried fitting a new bulb ?

Sorry, I see what you mean. I meant brake light and yes I’ve tried that. It’s more the case it was an intermittent issue but it’s permanent now
