Adaptive headlight motor malfunction

Featured Replies

2008 Titanium X with adaptive headlights. I've got the dreaded driver's side light full of water problem and now I'm getting the headlight fault message on the dash and B1D65 showing on Forscan. I can hear the passenger side motor whirring but nothing front the driver's side.

I've cleaned up the connectors and dried out the headlight by blowing hot air from a fan heater into it but still the same problem.

I can see some corrosion on the bottom of the motor, but I can't work out how to remove the motor. Space is tight in their!

I've tried googling but not really finding e.g. how to get the motor out or a full teardown of an adaptive unit, just the standard ones. Can someone please explain how to do it, or link a guide?
