Kuga 2018 St-Line front washers not spraying

Featured Replies

Hi - some help please 🙂

Bought the Kuga in June (only 1 previous owner, very low milage), and everything was working fine but now the front washers aren't spraying - they were working over the summer to clear the screen every so often but didn't see any regular use. The rear washer is still working fine, so the pump is definitely ok, but nothing comes out of any of the 3 nozzles at the front.

I've disconnected each of the 3 front nozzles back at the pipework under the bonnet and water sprays from all 3 connections when I test it, so it seems that there's no blockage up until that point at least. I didn't know that they would have any electric component on the nozzle, and I'm not sure if they're actually heated or not, but I've swapped out the washer fuse as well just in case (though the old one has tested ok since so that doesn't seem to be the problem either).

I can't seem to get the pipes off the back of the nozzles, so is there any other way to clean them out or do I just need to replace each one? Also, if there's some issue with the heating aspect, would that stop anything from coming out at all or should it just come out cold instead?

Thanks 🙂

Try putting an air line through the system to blow out any blockages .  Maybe remove the wheel arch liner and clean out the bottle and pump assembly. I've read about nozzles needing changed when they block up. Not cheap either . Good luck.
