Engine issues

Featured Replies

Hello

I'm hoping there will be someone who can help me or give me some advice.

I have a 2019 Ford Kuga 1.5tdci. When I'm at 50mph in 5th or 60mph in 6th and I'm cruising along I would lift off the accelerator to maintain this speed.  At this point the engine starts to act like it's not getting enough fuel or its in the wrong gear so judders. When I then press the accelerator again to try stop this it's as though it's got no power so have to drop down the gears again. Also I've noted that my fuel consumption is low and never gets about 43mpg.

Thanks.

Chris.

43 MPG is actually quite good for a Kuga 1.5 diesel, not sure you will get much above that unless on a steady 100 mile run on a motorway.
