Can anyone advise please. The aircon pipe from the compressor to the drier has ruptured on my car. I am trying to source one at reasonable price and am open to any direction or ideas.

I think the part number is 1327263.  It's worth contacting your local Ford parts department to ask for a price.  I suspect it'll be £300+ though, and won't be on the shelf.

Alternatively you can search for a local pipe manufacturing company to create a custom pipe with professionally crimped connectors.

Last option is removing a used one from a breakers yard.  But as they'll all be 20 years old now that may not be the most effective option I'm the long run.

Thank you for this. The pipe from Ford is £400 including VAT. Breakers have not come back with anything - yet!! I am looking into manufacture but at this time ?? What I cannot get my mind around is whether there might be a compatible one. For a Focus it is about £30. At the end of the day it is two pieces of aluminium pipe coupled with a flexible high pressure hose. Does anyone know if an alternative might be compatible??

This pipe has been searched for by at least one other Ka owner in the past. They bought 2 or 3 pipes that they thought could be modified to fit. None were able to be made to work. I seem to recall in the end they got a custom made pipe from a local hydraulic company.

mmm...I was wondering how a cat produced next year had already got corrosion in an A/C pipe, just thought Ford had gone all out to develop the ultimate self destruct, green car!

Definitely find a hydraulic pipe manufacturer. There are a few in Surrey. Damn sight cheaper than what Ford charge. Just take the old one off for the manufacturer to copy from or even improve.

Decades ago a pipe burst on a UR Quattro I had. Audi wanted hundreds. I got one made for tens.

100% agree, years ago my Celica GT4 need an oil pipe which the cost was astronomical, and the part would have taken 6 weeks delivery (from Japan). The hydraulics guy came out to my house, made a new pipe in the back of his well equipped van, and fitted it for me!

Having a custom made pipe will be your best bet
