Good morning all.

 

Does anyone know if there's any difference between the genuine Ford tow bar wiring kits for Mk4.5 Estate (1740024) and Hatch / Saloon (1740026}?

    The quick answer is I don't know, but there are a couple of things which could be different.

    • The length of the wiring harness for the estate model could be longer than that of the saloon.
    • Is the lighting configuration on the rear panels and tailgates the same on both models ? For example if the rear fog light on the saloon is a light on the fixed rear panel but on the estate the light is mounted on the tailgate then the Ford trailer module will be configured differently.
