Sync 3 map update will not install

Hi all

recently I updated the Sync To version 3 build 20204 I think?, that went fine
 

so after send the log code the Ford website says there are map updates available for me as I am still on EU 14 !.

downloaded the file and extracted it to a clean formatted usb which is 128gb so plenty of space. All the files are there on the stick but when I put it in the car after engine on it does nothing at all. Re-downloaded it 4 times and still nothing. 
I tried to update via Wi-Fi but even with the car parked next to the house and on full fibre broadband it doesn’t find any update to install so I am a bit stuck 🤷‍♂️

any help please

    Can you post a screenshot of your USB?

    How is it formatted? It should be FAT32 or exFAT, not NTFS.

    Yes all looks ok. Have you got a different USB stick you can try? Or are you using the one you updated to 20204 with?

    It’s the same one I updated to 20204 with I formatted it after installing that update as instructed 

    pits a brand new usb stick too there hasn’t been anything else on it at all

    when I plug the stick should I get a message about updating the maps or something?
