ac pulley pump - ford ka

Featured Replies

is it possible to change a ac pulley pump in a ford ka, or does the whole unit need replacing ?

Hi,

This is posted in the Mondeo section.  Hopefully a mod can move it for you.

The 2014 Ka is basically a Fiat 500 underneath so doesn't generally follow 'Ford' protocols for repair.  I've just checked the parts catalogue, Ford definitely don't sell the compressor pulley separately.

From a quick look at the Fiat forum, it seems like members over there have only replaced the full pump.  I also can't see the correct pulley available aftermarket, just one for the earlier Ford built Mk1 Ka.  That doesn't necessarily mean they don't exist.

There is also a difference between the pump for the petrol and diesel engines in the Ka, so double check you're getting the right one if you do buy a full replacement.
