Featured Replies

I've recently bought a mk3 kuga st line x edition 2.0 mild hybrid.  The return on the clutch pedal is so springy and forceful its giving me knee ache

Have you been to the Doctor ?

You can remove the pedal return spring.  But that'll leave the weight of the pedal putting constant pressure on the clutch master cylinder which accelerates wear.

It's worth trying alternative seat positions as it may be the angle that's the issue, rather than the weight.

Bear in mind the 2.0 MHEV also needs a strong diaphragm spring to prevent clutch slip under maximum torque.

If none of that helps, maybe switch to an automatic.  Can have as much torque as you like without worrying about pedal weight then.
