    Legally in the UK that's almost impossible for the public. The Police and DVLA can do it but not many can.

    You must have some idea, registration plates or V5c document. Even if the registration has been changed there are ways to find it's previous reg, but using the VIN is not one of them.

    Well that's off subject my dear I did not ask for you to be curious that's just a world you live in we're you think all people are up to no good 

    We paid cash for the car it was dropped off with no paperwork no number plates and in a state it don't bother me because I'll sort it 1 way or the other

    The reg ends in XMB.

    If you know the year it was registered, and the location, we can work out the first 4 digits.  (Unless it's a private plate)

    Edit - Looks like August 2008 build so chances are it'll be registered as '58 or '09 plate.
