Fiesta Electric/ Software Problem

Hello I'm new to this forum and would be grateful for any help.

I've recently (Nov 2023) bought a 69 Fiesta. I've had a couple of occasions now where the car unlocks normally but when I press the engine start button the vehicle becomes "electrically dead". First time this resolved itself after 5 minutes or so. Second time I needed RAC recovery. Any ideas what the issue is?

    Possibly poor battery performance, check that the terminals are tight and the earth strap to the body is tight also

    Possibly need software updating in the BCM (Body Control Module) and IPC (Instrument cluster)

    I'd also check the voltage of the battery, it might just be being pulled down to low when trying to crank.
