Newbie - building hillclimb Fiesta

Featured Replies

Hi,

Just purchased a rather cheap and unloved 2015 Mk7 Fiesta 1.0 Zetec S Black Edition 91000 miles with a few dents, broken trim etc but is solid and runs well ....at the moment

Having campaigned a Clio 182 for several years I've decided to swop classes as this will run in the up to 1400cc Modified Road going production class ( a multiplier of 1.4 is applied for forced induction)

As with the Clio will do most of the work myself.

Started sourcing a few parts ready for next season and will then develop through  2024 and beyond

Will certainly require a wet belt change soon and looking at potentially doing this myself.

I am going to do this on a budget sourcing secondhand parts where feasible so this is not going to be a no expense spared build but it will be a competitive car!!

Are there many people on here who are competing in Sprints/hill climbs?

Is it worth starting a thread of my progress?

Don't know about sprints/hill climbs but there seems to be a fair contingent of 1.0 ecoboosts competing on Trackrod Yorkshire Rally, for instance with lots of spectator interest, some of whom may well lurk here.

There seems to be plenty of interest in modding ecoboosts on here so I would think there'd be interest in a build thread.
