I’m having issues with my 2019 fiesta DRL there just not very bright and I’m just trying to figure out if it’s a fuse or I need to change bulbs or new lights.

any help would be great

It won't be a fuse.  Fuses either work or don't, they can't half work.

The DRLs should dim with the lights on.  So maybe the car thinks the lights are on.  Is the engine running when you took that picture?

thought it might be a bulb or something

Those lights use an LED strip.  It's not a standard bulb.

As both lights are the same it's more likely they aren't getting full voltage rather than both being faulty.  Could be a low battery fault.  (Charge it if possible, or at least disconnect battery for 10 minutes).  Or could be a fault with wiring or BCM.

I dont know this model but I have expierenced on other cars that there is led bulb module and transfer light through light stripe around headligt and the place where the led comes into contact with the stripe gets burned and it becomes not bright and more yellow than white

What about indicator fuses? Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't 🤣🤣

And my wife's brain..that works sometimes..not often though

Did they both fail at exactly the same time? That would help to determine if the fault was common to both.

When you took this picture were your rear lights on?

  • Author

The car was running at the time I can’t remember if the back lights was on.

both lights were off at the same time

If your rear lights were on with the headlights switch off and your DRLs were dim, was the headlight light on on the dash, because if so it's likely your light switch is going bad and your car is defaulting to side lights instead of off

Rear lights were off when lights switched off and DRL was very yellow.

just bought the car but starting to wonder if someone changed the colour of that’s possible.

Of they are very yellow it's likely the led DRL is burnt out and wants replacing, it's unlikely someone changed the colour as the led is integral to the light housing

here is the common problem I mentioned earlier.
