Immobilizer problem

Featured Replies

Greetings,

I have a 2008 Mondeo, 2.0 tdci, QXBA engine. Since the car came without cruise control i purchased a steering wheel with the cc buttons and fitted it to the car. The seller also had a convers+ IC and i purchased it too (since my car had the type 1 IC). After that i started forscan in order to program the cluster but instead of copying the info from the BCMii (main) to the cluster (backup) i copied the other way around. The donor car had keyless start (and my car has key start) and on the cluster there was a message saying that no key was detected. I realised that i made a mistake and copied back all the info (i had it in a backup) but now the car doesn't start anymore. No crank, no start. After a scan i have the following errors:  U0167 - Lost Communication With Vehicle Immobilizer Control Module and Code: P1628 - TCS-ECM Line-Open Or Short. I erased the reprogramed the 3 keys the car has but when i try initialise the PATS module the process starts and finishes saying that module initialization is not complete and prompts to try again.

This happens with the old IC also.

Please advise on what to do next. Thank you.
